L.A. Council can’t continue with its lack of knowledge

L.A.'s new ordinance on pot dispensaries neglects to answer the needs of the ailing while ignoring public safety and the City Council remains unaware of crucial cannabis concepts.

Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar continues to appeal in vain for the State to change SB420, what he fails to acknowledge is the State Legislature cannot alter a law created by a voter initiative—regardless of how vague that law may be.

The State finds itself in a similar situation that Huizar and his comrades find themselves in but they have an entire State to deal with.



In the future, the Council could ease its troubles by simply focusing on what lays within their jurisdictions and stop wasting time and energies on issues they simply have no say over.



After four years, the Los Angeles City Council last week finally adopted a medical marijuana ordinance with the Mayor signed today. The Council still demonstrates a lack of knowledge that impedes their ability to see how they are making matters even worse.
