Our laws here need updating still have to go to the street, get a "care giver" have 7 plants 3 with flowers, up to an ounce. It must be nice to "shop" for meds instead of what is in town today.

Did you see on stash.norml.org that the DEA thinks that Colorado dispensaries are selling brick weed? Apparently the DEA is a bunch of Barney Fifes

I may be wrong but are’nt dispensary’s there for profit? Why doesn’t everyone grow their own and be done with that nonsense? Before ya know it dispensaries will be the ones taxing it and making money off of peoples illnesses. The Goddess put marijuana here for us to use freely. She didn’t make dispensaries to go with it.

@ Robert E Vaught: By that reasoning groceries (actually, prepared meals) should be free. Food just sows, fertilizes, grows, harvests/slaughters itself, right? We shouldn’t have to pay for any of the effort, education, equipment or time of the farmer, harvester, rancher, trucker, stocker, clerk, security, taxes etc.; just walk into a grocery store and take what you want, the workers are all volunteers. ?!?!

The sun is a gift – the soil is a gift – the seeds are a gift from our Creator. However, well-bred, well-grown herb doesn’t just fall from the sky, it requires quite a lot of skill and care to produce (and expensive equipment in the current world – you can’t grow it outside in most places and even if you can the season only produces one crop). It takes a *significant* investment of time, effort, and money to produce *Medical-Grade* Cannabis. Hence the market price (the market decides the price, not the dispensary, but that’s a bunch of Economics 101 stuff that I don’t have room for here).

To anyone who thinks it falls from the sky and somehow dispensaries are hoarding it, do this: take a seed, plant it, and see it through until it is Fine Herb. Then come back with that “Gift from the goddess” silliness.

Really, if you can you’re better off growing your own herb, but if you can’t dispensaries are a God-send (hence their popularity). That’s why they stay in business. We can all pray for an end to prohibitionary madness, but until then growing fine herb is both risky and expensive, and most patients I meet (myself included) are happy to be able to safely and legally purchase fine herb from good caregivers.

Some dispensaries *are* disgusting profiteers, but the reason they exist is because of patient-demand. *That’s* why they’re there.

I think dispensaries are the best answer to the governments oppression of patients. I choose not to grow because I have too much else in my life, too many other obligations and my illness prevents my ability to grow and produce high grade cannabis. A dispensary that can provide that for me, is priceless. The growers, priceless. Im happy to pay a reasonable amount for their hard work and Im grateful for it.
