I think that sometimes through work with others you find your own pathway in life. I think Adam was an advocate for sobriety but he struggled with post traumatic stress syndrome from the plane crash and being a former addict it was a challenge to wean himself from the pain killers prescribed through that ordeal. I don't think he's hypocritical, I think his death shows the world, and the addicts from, "Gone to Far" that addiction is a life long struggle that doesn't end with even 10 years of sobriety. It's easy to slip up, but at the end of the day he helped people, showed them a way out, gave them another chance, and just because he died doesn't mean that legacy and his initiatives should be tarnished. Shame on you!

Word, I normally phrase my compliments better. This post challenged my preconceived notions of the whole DJ AM situation and I like when that happens. I dig the blog, keep on keepin' on.

Not real sure how to take that, but I appreciate you coming by and letting me know. I think the whole series is trite and overplayed, I wish they had put money into helping that young man heal himself, rather than exploiting him as a drug addict even after his death. Thank you for reading.

When I first read this, I was a bit taken aback, I'll admit. I think it hit a nerve because of addiction struggles in my fam (and I even cleaned myself up a for a little bit there). So I understood how he could have gone back to drugs after the trauma of that plane crash.

But I just watched an episode of that show and, man, it fu*kin' bothers me. I mean, it's a good anti-drug commercial but it's patronizing, dude. I kinda came around to this post after actually viewing the product.
