I’d liked to apologize for my bad behavior; I’ve been that fat girl before and didn’t realize I’d hurt your feelings. Envy turns a nice girl evil when he whispers insults about our weight into our ear while perusing the chip aisle.

By the way….Via Spiga is one of MY favorites, too!

Hey, no worries. Like I said, i too was once the bigger girl who’s envy I wore right out in the open. This woman however had the nerve to make comments about me in front of my children which is not okay. Not in my book. Thanks for coming by, I really appreciate it.

You’re definitely a favorite MILF of mine <3. It’s sad that other people can’t keep their silly little opinions to themselves.

I find it hard to believe you were ever “fat”. I used to be really skinny but due to health issues I gained a LOT of weight, it really is beyond my control (I eat mostly brown rice and steamed veggies). When I see super skinny, small girls, I just get sad, I’ve never felt the need to be snide about or to them, and I don’t understand the need to do so. I just get sad because it’s a reminder, that’s all.

It isnt about fat vs. skinny. Its about treating the people around you with respect. I was a big girl, a very big girl at one point and I remember the restlessness. The loneliness, the unforgettable feeling of sadness when I would see people that were already the way that I wanted to be. It hurt, but that didnt leave me space to mock them or make them feel poorly. IT isnt easy being little, in fact, Dare I say that It is almost as difficult. But making healthy choices and recognizing your desires are the first and hardest step. Thank you for coming by.

Nicely written. I’ve heard similar envies directed at my sister and myself regarding our curves. We’re average-to-athletic and quite active, but somehow we ended up with large chests. One woman went so far as to say in earshot of my mother something disparaging about a high schooler with implants, regarding my sister. Rude! There’s no excuse for such behavior, and you made the point quite well.
