I love long hair.
I LOVE LONG HAIR. Sexy…
I do love beautiful long hair, but many girls look great with short hair. Fact is, I’m too glad to be with a beautiful woman to care how long her hair is!
Aye, I agree, BUT what happens when a woman in your life changes her hair suddenly?
i don’t think that any man should worry about what there woman’s hair looks like…. i have very strong opinions about this, no man in there right mind would comment about there spouses hair… its fucking hair and it grows back…. i prefer my hair long, some girls like to experiment with there hair to see what would look best, its all a woman’s choice. no man should “judge” a woman about there hair……
WE SHOULD NOT ASK PERMISSION TO CUT IT OFF……. its our hair and we DON’T need to be controlled by men…. it doesnt matter if a man likes long or short hair, if they dont like there spouse after there hair has been chopped then i say the man isnt worth a damn. they shouldnt be around just for your hair… like i said this is my opinion.. keep it at that
Shouldnt a woman respect her spouse enough not to chop off her hair and walk around looking like a boy? I believe that all people should be allowed to explore their creativity, but shocking your partner into a limp-dicked trauma isn’t very nice, and you cant expect them to love you no matter what, men arent built that way.
They wont love you if you gain 400 lbs, they may say that they do, but they wont. The will long for the days that their lover returns to normal. With hair, they may not like it, you have to be a little sensitive to their needs as well.
I have a lady friend who’s hair keeps getting shorter over the last year and every time I see it get shorter I like it more and more. She has beautiful hair.
My last ex had great long hair but it looked like bla when she had it short 15 years ago.
But, how would you feel if your SO suddenly chopped their locks without asking?
Well, my last wife always asked things of this nature and I told her my opinion. She still calls for this type of advice. She respects the fact that I will call it like I see it. “yes, those jeans make you look like you have a big ass”
Would it surprise me, of course, but it is her hair, not mine. If I didn’t like it I would say so and likewise if I did.
If she had a problem with me being honest then that is where I would have an issue. If I can’t be honest with someone without them being upset at me for being honest then I am with the wrong person.
I prefer to get my husbands opinion before hair cuts. I want longer hair though, my hair just won’t grow really. I’m considering extensions, at least for a little while.
seems like the nice thing to do!
Yes I absolutely love long hair…no you shouldn’t have to feel like you have to ask for permission to cut it. You know that short hair really looks good on you. And it will be a lot cooler for you when the weather gets really hot. After all you never made me change the way I dressed, combed my hair or my friends that I knew before I met you.
?
Men definitely prefer longer hair. Well, my husband does. If I mention about getting it cut, he freaks out. I found out that his definition of cut does not include trim, whereas mine does, so I’m learning to use the separate terms.
I usually consult him before making any drastic changes and I would expect him to do the same. If I came home to no mustache or soul patch, I’d probably cry.
Men freak when you tell them you are getting a cut, I think its pretty funny. Me and baby daddy got into an argument the other night while I was at the hair salon. You caught my new DO on xanga right? Blue…..
Now you know the real reason WHY!
Lol, thanks for commenting on my new blog. Its rad of you to come over!
Short hair. It’s all about the short hair.
Really? I pegged you for a long hair type of guy! Weird.
You saw mine when it was short, it was awful.
nah, I liked your short hair.
I… Don’t know. I didn’t want to chop my hair off, but I really liked the way it looked after I did it…
But I’m not in a relationship, and don’t see myself being in one anytime soon, so I don’t have to worry about it. :]
Ahh… to be single again.
I’m not a dude but I love long hair. Its fun to play with now I don’t know what other men have in store for long hair in their moments but i know for a fact my boyfriend likes my hair long but not too long.
I prefer long hair too, its pretty to look at, soft to the touch and hopefully pleasant smelling. Right now I have blue hair, its long, but BLUE.
Sigh, its always a struggle.
Thanks for coming by!
I’ve had my hair really short, and really long. Right now it’s on the longer side. The shortest I’d cut it at this point is probably around chin length.
To begin with, I must stress that I fail to fall under the criteria that defines the “typical male” persona–not that I’m too concerned about it, as I like being me
. However, to answer your questions, in my own view, I like hair that looks good on a woman. If she can pull that off while it’s long, wonderful, and if it looks better medium/short-length, fantastic! You see, for all the “visual creatures” that men are–I like a pretty face, much, much more than what’s on top of it.
But that’s just me.
As for permission? Meh–do as you please, a change in hairstyle shouldn’t be a deal-breaker… f’reals.
Glad to see good material, Dec–keep it up!

It isn’t about length, its about the SHOCK that comes with suddenly changing your hair style. If your SO decided to come home with a shockingly new hairstyle (blue?) It would startle you, no?
Haha…. you see, that “not the typical male” comes in handy here, too–I would LOVE to see her come home with blue hair (and perhaps envy it myself… as red hair doesn’t dye well… and I don’t think the grocery store I work for would allow me to have it), assuming she can maintain her source of income at the same time.
Startle? Yes. Arouse? Possibly
. Bother? Not so much.
Personality/Ability to Maintain a Conversation > Hair. ftw.
I think before any drastic change you should ask your S.O. just because you don’t want to blindside them or change something that they really like about you without notice. I think I said this when you posted this before, but there is a scientific study that says men like straight long things because of their relation to the penis or something lol. i.e. high heels and straight long hair.
PENIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats funny, I never really thought of that phallic similarity. I dont think it should be an “ask permission” sort of thing, but maybe more of a “are you concerned enough to talk me out of this stupid decision” kind of thing.
Thank you so much for coming over and commenting. ESP on something you have already taken the time to comment on at xanga. I make a ton of changes to the articles before posting it, and really only posted this one because my kiddos were home and I dont have time to write.
Anyway, thank you again!
I love my long hair too.
I asked Mr. 30 when I got my hair done what I should do. He said that he wanted to see me before I got it cut, and then he’d give me an opinion.
So, I got a few inches cut off, and then afterwards he joked that the only reason he was with me was because my hair was so cute.
hehee.
He is def. a keeper, that one!
My hubby loves long hair. I would never cut it off without first telling him. Oh who am I kidding? I would never cut it off period. I love my long hair and I know he does as well.
Always ask permission before cutting it off. And, to be sure, my answer is always NO. I don’t want to date someone whose appearance makes others think I’m dating the ten-year old boy love-child of Sinead O’Connor and Meg Ryan.
One of my friends had been dating a girl for several years. All of the sudden, she decided to follow her friends and get her hair whacked off. It looked horrible. My friend had to swallow his pride for months on end until the hair grew back out. He told her he liked it and that was an absolute lie.
I don’t ever want to be in that situation.
Hi,
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!
Howdy simply wanted to take a moment to say I value your article
