I never actually thought of it. I’m not exactly in the whole “dating” scene anymore, but if I were inexplicably dating once more, I probably would google them, if for no other reason than to find something to talk about.
I suppose thatis one way to keep it from being a sinister pasttime. Im going to google you, right now.
I don’t think it’s an invasion of privacy, no. I mean, I guess it’d be nice to tell the person you did it at some point, but if they posted it up online, they should not be expecting privacy.
Personally, I don’t think I’d Google the person first. Then again, I’ve never been in the position to have to make the decision of whether or not I should.
I’ve done it.
I don’t think it’s a question of morality at all. I google dates, and sometimes what I find prompts me to cancel.
No, I don’t think it’s an invasion of privacy, I mean they stuck it up on the interenet in the first place…
Hey, if you publish it on the web on MySpace, Facebook, Xanga, or some other blog site/social network site, it’s out there. It’s there for anyone and everyone to read so heck yeah I’m gonna google your sorry behind before we trek out into the unknown together. I need to know if you’re a trained killer, a rapist, a murderer, if you’ve recently gotten out of the joint, or what your damage is before we go on a date. Invasion of privacy? No. If you don’t want people to read your stuff, don’t put it out there.
Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.
Yes, I’d totally google someone before I dated him…if for no other reason to make sure my husband didn’t know him first. *snarky grin*
I’m 17, and before I go on a date w/ a guy I don’t know, I facebook him.
